Personality: Verbena is a calm and collective, motherly Sand wolf who is very defensive and assertive of others and her own beliefs. She is a good listener and is rather wise for being so young. She is tolerant and easy-going, following the path her life leads her down without hesitation. She is very moralistic, weighing the behaviors of others around her frequently. Despite having a big mouth when she defends herself, she is easy to hurt mentally, and what others say can really break her. She does her best to hide it, but her emotions are an open book. She is very hard on herself, beating herself up for mistakes she makes, no matter the size. Verbena has a watchful, perceptive eye and is quick to point out suspicions of hers.

Backstory
Verbena was born apart of a Dark City pack consisting of Sand wolves. She was the only one in her litter, but she treated the other pups as her siblings. Her parents had presented her beautiful flowers with feathers hanging from them. The young Sand wolf pup bounced around in joy and embraced the flowers with pride and excitement. When she was around eight years of age, the Shadow Clans had attacked her pack, leaving her to be taken in as a slave. Pain seared through her body as she was beaten, forced to work for the greedy, evil creatures she could never call wolves. Her family was dead because of them and she'd show no remorse.

Around the age of sixteen, she was broken out of the Slave Camps by a group of loners. During their efforts to save her and a few other wolves, the Shadow Clans' wolves managed to keep up with them, killing the rebels and returning the caught fleeing captives. Verbena was luckily able to make it out alive, but only by a hair. She silently thanked them for saving her life, shaken by the blood curling cries the dying wolves bellowed, ripped to pieces by the guards. Verbena pushed onward, her tail between her legs as she maneuvered as well as she could without being spotted. Two guards stood post at the entrance of the base, motionless, ears perked. She halted, wondering how she was ever going to get passed them. Her paws pulsed as sand retreated from her toes and began to crawl up her legs. Crawling toward the guards, she hesitated as the guards' ears swiveled in her direction. They got to their feet and turned on her, teeth bared, sharping in the moment as they grew closer. In panic, the sand attacked like snakes, tightening around their necks like rope and collapsed, struggling for breath. Darting toward freedom, she fled as far and as fast as she could, covering at least two miles before she stopped.

Alone and scared, the Sand wolf continued across Delv Ihoo, coming across a village when she was twenty-two, made up of many species of wolves of all ages. Verbena was generally intrigued by the pack and was about to set foot into it, but she was taken aback as two Metal wolves stood in her path, demanding her name and why she had come. Giving her name, she informed them of her travels all over the island and just wanted somewhere to stay. The guards dipped their heads and lead her inside, introducing her to the landscape and all the landmarks in the territory. She was glad the pack seemed welcoming, catching the eyes of curious wolves as the generous guards went on. Finally, she was introduced to the chief of the village named Boris. The land she stood upon was that of Barevill village. The Sand wolf introduced herself and told the male about her travels and that she wanted to join the village. Boris agreed. After awhile of staying with the pack, she began to notice the teenagers training, pups watching from afar with curious and intrigued looks in their eyes. She had asked Boris why teenagers were the only ones training. As she was told, only wolves ten years and older were allowed to train at the A.T.C, but she didn't agree. It didn't seem right to not prepare the pups at a younger age for their future. Besides, that's how it worked in the Dark Cities, despite it only being done in secret. Verbena told Boris that she'd like to make her own academy, but for beginners and teach them basics, most preferably for those between the ages of three and ten. Junior Training Camp or J.T.C for short. Boris soon agreed, and Verbena became its leader. Wisp, a wingless Wind wolf, offered to help the Sand wolf, and Verbena took her in as her assistant. As Wisp became more of a help to her, she also became a teacher along with a few others to teach the pups.
